Northern Cape: Today, Galeshewe Visible Policing unit, Kimberly Crime Intelligence in support of the Liqour board officials have closed illegal shebeens in the Galeshewe precinct.
Police swiftly acted on a tip-off from the community regarding houses where liqour is being sold without complying with legal processes. At some of the identified premises, after a search was conducted, police discovered crates of liquor and containers containing concoctions. Meanwhile, a 62-year-old man was arrested and charged with dealing in liqour without a license. Investigations continue.
