Drugs valued at R291 000 seized and a perpetrator brought to book in Bothasig

Police stopped a drug dealer in his tracks when they followed up on information they received about drug dealing in Bothasig last night. They proceeded to the address, and upon searching the house, 4000 Madrax tablets, and nine packets of Tik worth an estimated street value of R291 000, and an undisclosed amount of cash were seized.

The suspect, a 45-year-old man, was arrested on a charge of dealing in drugs and once charged he will appear in the Goodwood Magistrates’ Court.

The Western Cape police management praised the members who prevented drugs from reaching the streets and destroy lives.
