At approximately 02:07 this morning members of Reaction Unit South Africa were called out to Delta Road in Missionlands – Verulam after receiving a call from a member of public reporting a theft at their residence.
Upon arrival the victim informed Reaction Officers that a lone suspect had entered the property and stolen their clothes from the washing line. The suspect fled with the stolen goods after he realised that he had been spotted by the homeowner. A description of the suspect was provided to Officers who went in search and apprehended the suspect on Spring Place. The clothing was not in his possession and during an interview he confirmed that he had hidden the stolen goods in a nearby bush. Reaction Officers proceeded to the bush and recovered the stolen clothing.
The suspect was placed under arrest and handed over to authorities for further investigation.
