A 29 year old man has been arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol following a collision at the High & Todd Street intersection a short while ago (Saturday).
At approximately 08:45 members of Reaction Unit South Africa were called out to the scene by passing motorists. Upon arrival it was established that a Nissan NP 200 bakkie collided into a VW
Polo at the intersection. The 6 occupants of the bakkie as well as the driver of the VW Polo were not injured.
The driver of the bakkie informed Reaction Officers that he was returning home from a beach party and was under the influence of alcohol.
He was placed under arrested and handed over to Police.
