Western Cape: Eager to address the root causes of crime, members of the Public Order Policing unit conducted an operation at a residence in Hillview, Lavender Hill last night in search of drugs. The search led police to the backyard where a steel trunk buried in the ground was found comprising 8990 mandrax tablets with a street value of R 475 000-00.
Two suspects, aged 28 and 54, were arrested on a charge of dealing in drugs, and are due to make a court appearance in Muizenberg on Tuesday 27 June 2017.
