Alleged drug dealer nabbed, dagga and mandrax seized

On Friday, 9 June 2017, at approximately 17:30, the Ethekwini Inner South Crime Combatting Team conducted an operation in Nerina Road, Mariannhill.

The team apprehended a 54-year-old dealer who was found in possession of three mandrax tablets and 8 small bags of dagga. The estimated street value of the drugs is approximately R200. The suspect was charged for being in possession of mandrax and for being in possession of dagga. The suspect will appear in Court in due time.

The team also seized two bags of dagga across the road from the suspect’s home. The two bags of dagga weighing approximately 4kgs, with a street value of R1500.

Ethekwini Inner South Cluster Commander, Major General Nunkumar commended members on their recoveries.
