Dagga arrest made at Dealesville 55 kilometres outside Bloemfontein

In their ongoing fight against the scourge of drug trafficking syndicates in Bloemfontein, the Bloemfontein K9 Unit has made a significant breakthrough after intercepting a drug transaction deal and confiscated dagga worth thousands of rand.

On Thursday, 9 June 2016, members of Parkweg K9 Unit were on a normal route patrol duties at Dealesville 55 kilometres outside Bloemfontein when they stopped a suspicious man and upon search they found 11 fingers of dagga in his possession.

Upon further investigation the suspect led the police to a house where the drugs are being sold. At the house, five more suspects were found smoking dagga and a white bag containing dagga was also seized.

The house was searched and they found 30 fingers of dagga wrapped in a news- paper. The suspects confessed that the big white bag and fingers of dagga belonged to them and that they trade in dagga. The street value of the dagga (38 bags) and one big bag is R16 000-00.
