On Saturday, 23 April 2016 at 09:00, Sergeant Thabo Mnguni with Constables Lungile Mbadu and Samora Makeba of the Grahamstown Highway Patrol stopped a long distance bus on the N2 while conducting a vehicle check point.
The bus was traveling from Pretoria to Port Elizabeth. During a routine search, a 48 year old woman was found in possession of Mandrax and arrested.
A total of 4 107 Mandrax tablets were seized.
