Bellville police arrested a 25-year-old foreign national for possession of Khat on Saturday, 23 April 2016 just past 12:00, at Bellville CBD.
Seven boxes containing Khat with an estimated street value of R20 000-00 were seized. The suspect is expected to appear in Bellville magistrates court Monday 25 April 2016 facing charges of possession of drugs
In a separate incident, police attached to Bothasig SAPS arrested two suspects after they conducted undercover operations. A 29-year-old male from Philippi was arrested for dealing in drugs when he sold Khat and Cocaine. During a search of his vehicle more Khat, Cocaine and a large amount of cash were seized.
A 42-year-old from Parklands was arrested for dealing in drugs when he sold Cocaine. Both suspects are expected to appear at Goodwod Magistrate Court today facing charges of dealing in drugs.
