Yesterday during Operation Fiela conducted in the Belhar area, a 48-year-old man was arrested for being in possession of 32 000 mandrax tablets valued at an estimated R960 000-00.
Two suspects were also arrested during the operation, in separate cases, for being in possession of unlicensed firearms this morning in Beacon Valley, Mitchells Plain. Both cases are possibly linked to gang activity in the area. The operation is still ongoing and more successes are anticipated.
